Sort Description

ultrasound transducer for emitting and receiving ultrasound pulse integrated in boots or as a lighter version attached to a leg strap. System supports transmission and receiption of ultrasound pulse to estimate distance and angle between the emitter and the receiver. The boots / leg strap can both be emitter or receiver. The system is used to provide landmarks (dropped Relate Bricks) to improve the location estimation of the RELATE PDR. The estimated PDR Position is improved using the positions of the Bricks and the ultrasound distance and angle measurements.

Hardware and software is developed, Experiments at BIBA Bremen March 2008 and at University Passau (2 Buildings) in June 2008, Publication of position estimation improvents pending.
