Technology Experiments

This parts contains description on the various experiments performed in order to understand how certain technologies can be used in implementing some functionalities and parts of systems. The functionalities implemented were:

• Activity tracking in both highly instrumented scenario and in environments with minimal instrumentation. For implementing activity tracking different sensors were utilised, including the evaluation of new sensor modalities (ultrasound, IR beacon tracking, muscle activity monitoring).
• Location-based collaboration: demonstration of the basic software framework.
• Communication channels: different communication channels were evaluated within specific, scenario relevant environments (aircraft, fire).
