Localization Framework

Indoor navigation is relevant for all four pilots. The consortium has so far pursued different approaches to this challenge. This include

• Pedestrian Dead reckoning
• Fingerprinting based radio frequency localization
• Relative positioning using radio frequency and ultrasound in cooperation with the RELATE project
• Radio frequency positioning in sensor networks

The different localizations technologies in the project are designed for the requirements of different scenarios or environments. The Localization Framework is needed to provide a common interface between the different localization technologies.

The Localization Framework is currently under development.
