Description
New version of the Link Jacket: vest structure. It is a reconfigurable clothing, with removable and in-terchangeable pockets, removable “OQO arm”,side regulation, for better wearability, mesh zones, to increase breathability, heat protection fabric between body and OQO device. The tubular arm struc-ture is lighter than the old one, that used with Velcro straps. It will be available in two different shapes, to hold the OQO device in horizontal or vertical position. The arm and the pocket on the back are de-signed to hold the OQO multi-connector cable and the connected cables, as well as the battery and the USB hub. The vest is equipped with a torch holder, a camera holder, large multi purpose pockets. The design is inspired by the multi-pocket vests used by soldiers, fishermen, photographers.
The basic idea is to provide a multifunctional vest, that can be used to wear the complete system, only some devices, or no electronic at all: it can be simply used as a work vest. All the electronic devices can be removed to wash the vest.
Use in wearIT@work Project
Designed for EADS – Maintenance Scenario, will be probably used also in Production Scenario. Planned to become a packaging device for the platform.
